The RFQ & Vendor Comparison Toolkit

Compare up to 5 vendor quotes side by side, catch the terms that quietly cost you later, and walk into every negotiation already knowing your leverage — built as Step 2 and Step 3 of the RFQ Edge Method, as one reusable tool.

A single quote is a starting position. You only see the real picture once you can put it next to the others — same total cost basis, same red flags checked, same questions asked of every vendor. This toolkit does that comparison for you: upload or paste up to 5 offers, and it pulls out price, what’s included and excluded, delivery timeline, payment terms, and auto-renewal language — then runs 7 automated checks for the kind of contract language that costs people money later.

No install. No IT ticket. No company account. Everything runs in your own browser — nothing you upload is sent to a server, and there’s no AI chat involved in this one, so nothing in a vendor’s quote leaves your device.

What it does

Comparison Matrix. Drop in a PDF, Word doc, Excel file, CSV, or pasted text for each vendor. The tool reads it and fills in price, what’s included, what’s excluded, delivery timeline, payment terms, and whether the contract auto-renews — every auto-filled field shows you the exact sentence it came from, so you check it in one glance instead of re-reading the whole quote.

15-point Red-Flag Review. 7 checks run automatically the moment a quote is loaded — things like a dispute-rights waiver, an auto-renewal notice with a long or unclear window, full payment demanded upfront, or a quote built to expire in under 48 hours. The other 8 need a human read (a suspiciously low price with no explanation, scope written entirely in the vendor’s language, and more) — they’re built into the same table as a checklist, not a separate step you have to remember.

Negotiation Position & Weighted Score. The tool suggests a 1-5 leverage score per vendor based on how many comparable quotes you have, how this price sits against the others, and what the red-flag scan found — always with a plain-language reason attached, never just a number to trust blindly. Three sliders (cost, speed, fewer red flags) let you set what matters most for this particular purchase and get a 0-100 weighted score per vendor.

Negotiation Tracker. One row per round. Click “Start negotiation” on any vendor in the matrix and their price, terms, and leverage score carry straight into a tracked round — fill in what you’re prepared to accept and your walk-away line before the call, not during it.

Who it’s built for

Procurement buyers, sourcing specialists, and purchasing managers who regularly compare 2-5 supplier quotes and don’t have — or don’t need — enterprise procurement software. It’s the hands-on companion to The RFQ Edge Method: that guide teaches the 5-step process; this tool is where Steps 2 and 3 (casting a wide net, and interrogating the quotes) actually happen, side by side, for as many RFQ rounds as you run.

FAQ

Will this cause problems with my company’s IT policy?
No — everything runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and unlike some of our other tools, there’s no AI chat step here at all — your vendor quotes never leave your computer.

What format is this in?
An interactive HTML tool you open in any modern browser, plus a downloadable Excel workbook. No install, no account.

How is this different from The RFQ Edge Method?
The RFQ Edge Method is the full 5-step guide with 51 copy-paste AI prompts. This toolkit is the hands-on comparison and negotiation-tracking tool for Steps 2 and 3 specifically — the part where you actually have multiple quotes in hand and need to compare them side by side. Many customers use both together.

Do I need procurement experience to use this?
No. The comparison table, red-flag checks, and leverage scoring do the structuring — you bring the quotes.

What if it doesn’t work for me?
See our refund policy on the Terms page.
